Group Dog Training Classes

Group Dog Training Classes are a great way to begin socializing and training your puppy or adult dog. Crossroads Pet Resort offers a number of classes to help train and socialize your dog at one of the lowest rates available in Orange County. Each class is taught by an accredited, experienced trainer who will help you get the most out of your dog. We work hard to keep class sizes small and offer classes at a variety of times so that everyone has a chance to take advantage of training. Below is a list of our current classes. 4 Week Specialty Classes

Puppy Socialization is for puppies 9 weeks to 18 weeks old. Focus is on social skills with people and other dogs. The critical socialization period for dogs occurs up to 12 weeks of age. If you want a stable and confident dog, don't put off socializing your puppy. Come introduce your puppy to the wonders of his world in a safe, healthy environment. Also covers basic puppy topics such as housetraining, puppy-proofing, and management. Price $69.00/4 Sessions

Walk on Leash - This class is designed for owners who have the basics and just want to work walking on leash. Walking on leash is a behavior that people have the most trouble with. Don't be another owner who get lets their dog drag them around the block. Perfect walking IS possible for every dog with the right training and tools. Let us show you how!   Price $69.00/4 Sessions

Rocket Recalls - This class was specially designed for owners who have all their basics but can't seem to get fido to come when called. The recall (come) command is one of the most important things to teach your dog. Imagine your pet dashing out into traffic and you need him to come in a split second. Would your dog come in a life-or-death situation like this? Let us show you how to get the fastest, most reliable recall in just 4 short weeks of training.   Price $69.00/4 Sessions

Tricks for Treats - This class was designed for owners who want to move onto the next level with their dogs. The focus of this class is on fun, positive-reinforcement based methods for teaching tricks to your dog. Tricks taught include shake, spin, rollover, bang, target, and others. Ready to see what your dog is capable of? Impress your friends with your brilliant dog!  Price $69.00/4 Sessions

Complicated Canine - This class is designed for dogs that can't participate in a normal group class. For people who have a dog that suffers from aggression, fears, phobias, or hyperactivity, this class spends 4 weeks teaching you basic controls for your dog so you can comfortably move into a typical training class without the embarrassment of an out of control dog! Get control of your difficult dog sooner, rather than later by participating in this safe, positive-reinforcement based class.   Price $69.00/4 Sessions

6 Week Basic Group Classes

Puppy Training is for puppies 9-1/2 weeks to 6 months. Covers basic manners, and addresses common behavioral problems, including house training, play biting, jumping, and chewing.  Price $99.00/Six Sessions

Basic Training is for dogs over six months. This class teaches basic obedience, (come, sit, down, stay, stand, off, and walk on leash) and addresses common problems such as jumping, digging, and chewing. Price $99.00/Six Sessions

Beyond Basics takes basic training to the next level. This class focuses on increasing your control for longer durations and around greater distractions. Classes include "field trips" out and about in the neighborhood. Price $99.00/Six Sessions

8 Week Specialty Classes

Fun with Agility - Agility is a fast paced sport that is quickly gaining popularity with everyday pet owners. Our class is designed for people who want to experience agility in a non-competitive setting.  Fun with Agility will get your dog familiar with all the obstacles, with an emphasis on building confidence, speed, and control over your dog. For those wishing to continue on into competition, you will have learned the basics that will transfer into a competition course. See what Agility can do for your dog and more importantly the bond between you and your dog. Price $119.00/8 Sessions

Rally Obedience - Rally is another fun, fast-growing sport that combines the fun pace of agility with the controls and basic commands of regular obedience. Learn how to get your dog to respond to obedience commands quickly in a fun, fast-paced course. See how well your pooch responds under the pressure of a timed course with different distractions. This class is a fun approach to not only competitive Rally but also a way to move onto the next level of obedience training for your dog.  Price $119.00/8 Sessions

To prepare for a group class:

• Pups must have received at least two sets of shots in their puppy series.
• Dogs over four months must have a current Rabies vaccination and be up-to-date on DHLP, Parvo, and Bordatella.
